Hypothesis: It will still be equal becuase you didn't remove anything.
Independent Variable: The mass of the reactants (g)
Dependent Variable: The mass of the products (g)
Constant Variable: Mass of the beaker or glass ware some glass ware
Procedure:
1) Put glass ware on balance measure mass
2)record the mass
3) add .5 to the measurement
4) Put both reactants in seperate beaker
5) record the mearsurment of all of them together

Maximum: 0.1
The hypothesis was proven true becuase it said that the mass would stay equal because nothing was being taken away.

kool-aid test
We are using 10, 15, 20 ml of water
2 grams of kool-aid
question- Will the amount of water in the testube make the solute lighter.
Hypothesis-The more water in the testtube the lighter the solute
Independent variable- the volume of the water (ml)
levels 10ml, 15ml,20ml
Dependent variable- color
constant- amount of solute
What we learned... we learned that the more amount of water you put in the more saturated the solution gets.
At 10ml themixture was red, 15 ml it was getting lighter, and at 20ml it was a pinkish color.

Solubility

in our pan we have zinc, test tubes and a graduated cylender and a test tube holder. we also have a spatuala that is copper.
copper sulfate is an algicide and it is safe. Copper Sulfate is pretty much an all around treatment. It is an Algaecide meaning that it kills Algae it is Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Fungal, works on external Protozoa such as Ich, and works on Oodinium, Sliminess of the skin, and kills certain parasites such as Cryptocaryon Irritans Salt water Ich and Crustacea Argulus.

We are using 10ml of water in each test tube and a small amount of Copper2 Sulfate and Zinc oxide.
We want to see which substance will disolve in the water first or if there soluable at all.

Hypothesis: The copper sulfate will disolve first in the water.
Independent Variable: type of solute.
Dependent Variable: Which will dissolve first.
Observations: The Coppers two sulfate has dissolved in the water and the Zinc Oxide is more dense so it sunk to the bottom but the water still changed color.
The zinc oxide eventually sunk to the bottom again. The copper two sulfate is transparent.
When using filter paper the Copper sulfate comes out of the beaker easily but the zinc oxide is stuck to the bottom. The copper sulfate still looks blue but the zinc oxide looks like water again.
Suspension- is when the solution temporarily clouds up the water but eventually sinks.
Solution- Transparent has tiny particles.
